The Ohra school of Ikebana-Hyderabad chapter organized a program called ‘Floral Raga’ at Taj Banjara on 27th Feb. The Ohra School organizes programs with different themes every month.
This month it was floral arrangements based on Indian traditions. Japan vice-consulate Sakura Ozaki, Taj Banjara General Manager Jaikanth Shroff, Hyderabad Chapter Rekha Reddy and founder member Meena Anantha Narayan were present.
The high-society ladies who attended the program in different attires. They used flowers as ornaments in the form of a necklace, earrings, bangles and finger rings,. Some of them told stories and poems on flowers. Even Sakura Ozaki recited a shahiri on flowers. They also released “Pushpavani”a newsletter on flowers.

The Society to Save Rocks aims to preserve and protect the spectacular ancient granite formations of the Deccan Plateau, India - a natural wonder of stony ridges and hillocks shaped into picturesque balancing forms.
Under the leadership of Mr. Narendra Luther, the President, a group of artists, photographers and environmentalists from Hyderabad has been working for the protection of this rocky landscape since 1992. In 1996, they formed themselves into a registered society, and since then, the Society to Save Rocks has expanded to include many other citizens, from students to housewives to businessmen and bureaucrats.
